MILFORD - Bobby T. Corder died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. He was born July 19, 1927 in Kimball, Virginia the son of the late Maurice and Annie Ray Corder. The family moved to Williamsburg, Maryland after his first birthday. Bobby graduated from Hurlock High School in 1944. He worked with his brothers at Milford Supply Company until 1954, when he opened Bob's Texaco on Rehoboth Blvd. in Milford, DE operating the station until 1958. Bobby then went to work as a mechanic at Diamond State Telephone Co. In 1960, Bobby opened the Pure Oil Company Service Station on Governors Avenue in Dover, DE. In 1964, he opened the Middletown Food Market which he operated until 1968. In 1968, Bobby went to work for Rentex Textile Company until he retired in 1988. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Max R. Corder, Jan M. Corder; and his sisters, Doris Belle Atkinson, Dare Kielbasa, and Deon Harper. Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lena M. Corder; his sons, Gary K. Corder of Milford, Ron Corder and his wife Wanda of Felton and Geri Corder and his wife Terri of Greenwood; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn N. Corder, of Felton, and Darian and Brooke Corder of Greenwood; one brother, Orray W. Corder and wife Ida of Milford; sister-in-law, Evelyn Corder of Milford; brother-in-law, Ed Kielbasa of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 12 noon - 2 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford.
