Mont. - After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Bobby "Bob" J. Golden Jr., passed away peacefully in his home, in Helena, on Thursday, March 24, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on Oct. 27, 1956, in Panama City, Florida to Bobby J. Sr. and Joan (Gillen) Golden. Bob graduated from Dover High School in 1974. After high school, he attended Delaware Technical and Community College. He was ambitious and determined and took online college courses, working toward a Bachelor's degree in business. At the time of his death, he was only one course away from reaching that goal. Bob was a loving husband and father. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary (Feyl) Golden on July 9, 1977. Together they had two children, who he considered his two greatest blessings. Another great love of his was the State of Montana. In 1991, he followed his dream and moved with his family to live there, in the beautiful land he always loved. He enjoyed motorcycles and could build a Harley Davidson from the top down. He also acquired his private pilot license and loved flying around his beautiful Montana. Prior to moving to Montana, he was employed at Reichhold Chemical. In Montana, Bob was employed by the Montana Blue Cross Blue Shield and medically retired in 2009. In addition to his parents and wife and best friend of 34 years, Mary, Bob is survived by his son, Kyle Golden; daughter, Amy (Golden) Hutchins; son-in-law, Caleb Hutchins; sisters, Deborah Golden of Felton and Cynthia Golden of Dover. He is also survived by beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Upon request of Bob and his family, there will be no formal services. He chose to be cremated and asked his ashes be spread at special place of his choice.
