Blanche Elaine Dlugoborski

Blanche Elaine Dlugoborski ROCK HALL, Md. - Blanche E. Dlugoborski, died Saturday, December 19, 2009, in the St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington. She was 88. Mrs. Dlugoborski was born in Rock Hall, Md., the daughter of the late James and Harriet Cannan Dowling. Mrs. Dlugoborski was a Seamstress and Homemaker and worked for the Rock Hall Manufacturing Company until her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Dlugoborski enjoyed sewing and cooking, and loved taking care of her home. She enjoyed traveling and reading as well. She was a member of the St. Johns Catholic Church, Rock Hall, Md. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dlugoborski was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander F. Dlugoborski in 1981; four sisters, Annie Heinefield, Bessie Layton, Marie Taylor and Bertha Jacquette; and two brothers, James "Kizzy" Dowling and Samuel Dowling. Mrs. Dlugoborski is survived by one daughter, Harriet Creighton; two sons, Alex Dlugoborski and Frank Dlugoborski, all of Rock Hall, Md.; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in the St. Johns Catholic Church, Rock Hall, Md. Interment will follow in the Churchyard cemetery at St. Johns. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 577, Rock Hall, MD 21661. Arrangements by the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home.
