Blanche B. Ellis, 84

MILLSBORO - Blanche B. Ellis of Millsboro died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 84.

Mrs. Ellis was born March 10, 1923, to the late George Williams Sr. and Vennie Best.

She attended school in Greene County, N.C.

Mrs. Ellis was joined in holy matrimony on Nov. 11, 1947, to Albert Ellis, who preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1997. She and Albert had been married 49 years.

She was a loyal housewife, sister and aunt.

Mrs. Ellis' biggest hobbies were shopping, her kids and vacationing.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Williams and Helen Bullock.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by a brother, George Williams of Rehoboth Beach; two sisters, Esdeal Garner and Thelma Williams, both of LaGrange, N.C.; three grandchildren; three nephews who she thought of as sons, Renaldo Williams, Swindell Williams and Curtis Williams; three nieces, Teressa, Carrie and Hanna; four very good friends, Ester Mitchell, John and Catherine Ellis and Leon Taylor; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. Elder Joseph Mumford will officiate.

Burial will be in Calvary Pentacostal Church Cemetery, Bishopville, Md.
