FELTON - Billy J. Morris, of Felton, died Oct. 9, 2007, at University of Maryland. He was 76. He was born in Ridgely, Tenn., to the later Lee and Laura Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of the Church of Brethren in Denton. He retired from Peoples Life Insurance and also worked for Sears and Roebuck. After he retired, he worked as a classroom assistant for the Benedictine School. He was very active with his sons playing football, where he was past President of the Little League Association and in Jr. League Football. Mr. Morris loved to travel and traveled quite extensively while working for Peoples Life. He was known as very easy going, never saying a cross word, soft spoken and laid back. He never met a person that didn't become his friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Laura Morris. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Priscilla Morris; sons, Garey L. Morris of Felton, Terry L. Morris and his finance Nancy and her two children, Hunter and Noah of Felton; daughter, Sherry A. Moore and her husband, Charles of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Kyle A. Morris, Brandon L. Morris, and Cory J. Morris, all of Milford, and Andrew Moore of Dover. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Melvin Funeral Home, where a visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
