Beulah Grace Schelts, 85
SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Beulah Grace Schelts of Sudlersville died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 85.
Mrs. Schelts was born May 15, 1921, in Queen Anne's County, daughter of the late Edward and Elva (Ellingsworth) Glanding.
She worked on the family farm, but spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her family.
Mrs. Schelts enjoyed writing poetry by God's grace, studying the Bible, gospel music, playing her organ, sewing, going to flea markets and tending to her home and family.
She was a member of Holden's Chapel, Sudlersville, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Mrs. Schelts was preceded in death by her husband, William Urie Schelts; a sister; and two brothers.
She is survived by two sons, William Dudley Schelts of Milford, Del., and Charles Edward Schelts of Millington; a daughter, Elva Jean Embert of Marydel; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; a stepgreat-granddaughter; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Interment will be in Sudlersville Cemetery following the service.
