Beulah 'B.J.' Bialota, 75

MESQUITE, Nev. - Beulah "B.J." Bialota, of Mesquite, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in her sleep at home. She was 75.

Mrs. Bialota was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Akron, Pa., daughter of the late Clarence Theodore and Florence Marie (Kemp) Gegan. She grew up in Pennsylvania.

In 1952, she married Robert Edward Bialota in Trenton, N.J. She raised her family in Trenton and Swanville, Maine, while working at Penobscot Poultry. Her husband preceded her in death on April 29, 1974.

After her husband died, Mrs. Bialota moved to Dover, Del., and worked at Playtex for 21 years. She then returned to Maine and worked at Duck Trap River Fish Farm. Five months ago, she moved to Mesquite to be near her sisters.

She had a wonderful large collection of dragons, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, jigsaw puzzles and reading science fiction.

Mrs. Bialota was member of the Roman Catholic church.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Dianne Bialota of Swanville, James and Alberta Bialota of Waldo, Maine, and Gregory T. Bialota of Searsport, Maine; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah and Dale Sullivan-Alley of Palmyra, Maine, and Michelle and Corey Orvis of Felton, Del.; seven grandchildren; a brother and a sister-in-law, Thomas and Shirley Gegan of Trumbauersville, Pa.; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Charlie Ott and Theresa Lebo, all of Mesquite.

Private family services will be held in Trenton at a later date.

Her ashes will be interred in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements by Virgin Valley Mortuary, Mesquite.
