SEAFORD - Betty R. Stimmell, age 80, of Seaford, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Betty was a member of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW both in Seaford. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Elbert Henson; and children, Deborah Irene Miller, Richard Thomas Henson, Joyce Elaine Henson Zoch and Wanda Jean Henson. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Thomas E. Stimmell; two sons, Greg Henson and wife Darlene, William Henson Sr. and his wife Dolores; two daughters, Loretta Birtchfield and her husband Jerry and Joann Henson and her partner Mark Wheatley; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Myers, who she raised, Wanda Miller, Richie Miller, Johnny Miller, Justin Henson, Jayson Henson, Billy Henson, Bobby Henson, Jerry Birtchfield, Jenny Birtchfield, Heather Weinkan, Jessica Zoch and Jacob Zoch; and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
