Betty May Schmitt, 69
DOVER - Betty May Schmitt of Dover died Friday, March 30, 2007, in Arbors at New Castle. She was 69.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1937, in Cuba, daughter of the late William and Laura (Gillaid) Reid.
Mrs. Schmitt was a homemaker, worked briefly as a packer for Playtex, Dover and later enjoyed life at Green Meadows Assisted Living.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and always kidding around if she liked you.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Reid, Sept. 12, 1998.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Schmitt of Easton, Md., Janice Schmitt of Dover and Craig Schmitt of Santee, Calif.; three grandchildren, Alissa of Easton, Md., Christina and Nicole, both of Santee, Calif.; and a great-grandchild due in May.
Services and burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
