TOWNSEND, Del. - Betty Lou Green passed away on April 4, 2021.
She had been a resident of Silver lake Nursing Home for 8+ years.
She was born on June 18, 1931 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Margaret and Raymond Williams.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Green Sr.; her son, Douglas Green Sr.; and her sister, Shirley Houdyshell.
She is survived by her son, Frank Green Jr. (Audrey) of Clayton; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Doug, Steven and Tim; son, David Green (Shirley) of Townsend; grandchildren, Linda and Heather, and Doug Green Jr., Doug's son; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Carol Clark; and her brother, Ray Williams Sr. (Jane).
In the past Betty has held positions as a secretary, a substitute teacher, had her real estate license and was most proud of her pre- school organization, and was secretary for Green Paving & Excavating, Inc. for 30 years plus.
Betty enjoyed spending time at White Crystal beach while raising her family and living on the farm. She enjoyed having all her grandchildren and great grandchildren around her. She loved to paint and spend time with her sister and cousins.
We would like to thank the administration and staff of the Silver Lake Nursing Home for all their help during the last days of Betty's life making her comfortable.
Services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
