WYOMING - Betty L. Baldwin, 69, Wyoming, died in Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, after multiple illnesses in the past six months before she finally succumbed to complications from pneumonia. She was a homemaker and wife of a U.S. Air Force veteran, whose last assignment brought them to Dover in 1970. She was a graduate of the James H. Groves High School class of 1986 and attended Delaware State College. As a registered real estate agent in Delaware, she worked for both B. Gary Scott Realtors and later Prudential Realty. She enjoyed auction and estate sale acquisitions to furnish her home. She could frequently be found socializing and dining at Dover Downs casino. She was an anglophile of the Tudor family, a political connoisseur and spirited debater of 20th and 21st century politics, and an avid reader as was evident by her personal library. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara O'Connell in 1993; and her husband of 32 years, Earl Baldwin in 1998. She is survived by her grandson, Jeffrey Haycraft, who was the light of her life; her daughter, Colette and her husband Mike Haycraft of Milford; brother, Daniel O'Connell and his wife Lenece of Nevada; cousin, Marilyn Moore and her husband Bryant of Utah; aunt, Betty Miller of California; sister-in-law, Naoma Waters of Florida; and sister-in law, Ruth Reedy of Ohio; and close friends Rosalie McNatt and her husband Freddie of Little Creek; and many friends and extended family in the Dover area. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or to Debbie's Fund, 794 Canterbury Road, Milford, DE 19963, http://www.debbiesfund.com/ Please join family and friends in a celebration of life on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Modern Maturity Center at 1121 Forrest Avenue, Dover.
