Betty Jane Moore, 77

MILFORD - Betty Jane Moore of Milford died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, in Milford Center. She was 77.

Mrs. Moore was born June 24, 1930, in Milford, daughter of the late H.C. "Jack" Sr. and Alberta (Stevens) Watson.

She graduated from Milford High School with the class of 1949.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, especially her famous vegetable beef soup, which she shared with her friends. She also enjoyed doing needlepoint and crochet.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church, Milford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Henry Moore Jr., in 2005; and a brother, H.C. "Jack" Watson Jr., in 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Betsey A. Moore of New Castle; and a son, Kenneth W. Moore of Milford.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Milford Community Cemetery, U.S. 113.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford, DE 19963.
