Betty Jane Hall, 57

MILLSBORO - Betty Jane Hall of Millsboro died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 57.

Betty began her journey on Nov. 21, 1949, in Millsboro, fifth child of the late Willie and Lucille Johnson.

Her joy in life was serving the Lord and being a devoted member of Millsboro First Seventh Day Adventist Church.

On Feb. 25, 1973, Betty was joined in holy matrimony to Walter L. Hall Sr., who lovingly referred to her as "Babe." From that union two children were born, Walt Jr. and Tanya. Betty had so much love to give that she also raised her nephew, Kenneth Joynes, and became a foster parent to Gary Warren, Nakita Teagle, Deon Brunskill, Raheim Brunskill and numerous others.

She loved to sing, travel, cook and shop. She was involved in network marketing with Prepaid Legal. She won first place in the 2004 Mountaire Talent Contest for her singing.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she leaves a loving family to cherish her precious memories.

She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Hall Sr.; four sons, Walter L Hall Jr. and his wife Serena of Millsboro, Kenneth Joynes and his companion Thayer Stewart of Dover, and Deon Brunskill and Raheim Brunskill, both of Millsboro; a daughter, Tanya A. Hall and her companion Kimwuan L. Gibbs of Lewes; her especially beloved grandchildren, Elisha, Ja'len, Jonathan, KJ and Kristina; her mother-in-law, Edna Harmon; six brothers, Sidney L Murray of Cambridge, Md., Frank Murray Jr. of Washington, Henry Fordham of Dover, Willie Johnson Jr. of Newark, N.J., Theodore Johnson of New York, and Chris Johnson of Salisbury, Md.; two sisters, Juanita Mosley of Dover, and Linda Hodge of Hammond, La.; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.

Services will be noon Thursday in Millsboro First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 30007 Cordrey Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where the viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. A musical tribute will be held during the viewing.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pastor Colby Matlock will officiate.
