Harrington - Betty Cagle went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Apr. 2, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Cagle was born in Rhae County, Tenn., daughter of Bruce Baxter and Geneva Beene.
Mrs. Cagle retired from Kraft General Foods after 25 years of service. Her favorite past-time was fishing; anywhere and with anybody. She also loved crocheting and made many items for her family and friends. She had a love of music and enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV since she could no longer attend her church. And she always loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will greatly be missed.
Mrs. Cagle was a member of the Milford First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Cagle; three sisters, Dorothy Combs, Esther Knight and Hilda Stewart; two brothers, Douglas and Dennis Beene; a grandson, John Morris, Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Jones.
She is survived by her three sons, P. Jerry Cagle (Virgina), Randy Cagle (Kathy) and Donald Cagle all of Harrington; three daughters, Judy Gaudino (Tony) of Millsboro, Barbara Bunting (Bruce) of Milford and Ramona Gay Davis (Wayne) of Lincoln, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; four brothers, James Beene (Robin), Carlos Beene (Sharon) and Bruce Beene, Jr., all of Harrington, and Bobby Beene of Canterbury. She also leaves behind, her cat Izzy.
Services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, with visitation 1 hour prior to service for family and friends. Burial will be at the Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
