Betty Anne Spence

DOVER - Betty Anne Spence, of Dover, died on Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was 78. Mrs. Spence was born on October 26, 1936 to James E. and Ann Dragoo. She graduated from Dover High School in 1954 and married William L. "Fuzzie" Spence on October 29, 1958. Mrs. Spence was employed as a Radiology Technician at Kent General Hospital and later at a Dover physician's office. She enjoyed eating out and also enjoyed Tom Selleck shows, reading, participating in water aerobics at the YMCA, and watching her husband play football with the kids in the yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Sumae Salzman and her husband, David, of Wichita, Kan.; her son, Dennis L. Spence of Dover; three grandchildren, Rochell, Jackson and Gabryel ("Bry"); three great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, where friends may call at one hour prior. Interment will be Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
