PASADENA, Md. - Bettie A. McRobie of Pasadena died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, in Genesis Eldercare, Severna Park. She was 77.
Mrs. McRobie was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Delaware.
She was a toll sergeant for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for 12 years before retiring in 1985.
Mrs. McRobie was a charter member of the Little Creek Delaware Volunteer Fire Department.
She enjoyed bingo and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Katherine Marvel; her husband, William T. McRobie; a sister, Pearl Hurley; and two brothers, Benjamin Marvel and John L. Marvel.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen "Dodie" Moore of Frederica, Del. and Brenda L. Weeks of Pasadena; a son, Robert McRobie of Pasadena; four brothers, James Marvel, Harry Marvel, William Marvel and Raymond Marvel, all of Little Creek, Del.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in McCully Polyniak Funeral Home, Pasadena.
Funeral services will be noon Friday in Grace Baptist Church, 17 Sommerset Road, Pasadena, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
Burial will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Chespeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
