(Berson) Farlow, 70 LEWES - Betsey Warren (Berson) Farlow, 70, of Lewes, passed away early in the morning of Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at home. Born in Nashville, Tenn., she received her Bachelor's degree in English at Smith College, her Master's at Columbia University, and became a Registered Nurse at Delaware Technical and Community College in later years. An educator for over two decades, she taught in several local schools and school districts, including the Seaford school district. She also worked as a journalist, both for the Seaford Leader and the Delaware State News. More recently she worked as a R.N. in the area, at facilities that included Bay Health in Dover. An avid reader, she was also an award winning writer and poet. She is survived by her brother, Robert Berson of Litchfield, Conn.; and her three children, William Robert of Philadelphia, Heather Margaret of Dallas, Texas, and Matthew Brion of Dewey Beach. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes. A reception at the church will follow the service. The internment will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.melsonfuneralservices.com.
