Bessie Reynolds

Georgetown - Bessie (Johnson) Reynolds of Georgetown passed away peacefully at the home of her son, on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and caregiver to everyone.
Bessie was born to the late Harry James and Emma (Marker) Johnson. She was one of eight children. She graduated from Georgetown High School in 1942.
Mrs. Reynolds held several jobs in Georgetown during her time, but her most important one was taking care of her family. Mrs. Reynolds was an avid WWF and WWE wrestling fan.
In addition to both parents she was preceded in death by, her husband, Wayland M. Reynolds Sr.; son, Wayland M. (Bud) Reynolds Jr.; three sisters, Mary Smith, Frances Stockley, Elsie Willey; two brothers, H. James Johnson Jr. and E. Waples Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by, her children, Bonnie (Gary) Morris of Lincoln, William H. Reynolds with whom she lived, Edward (Sue) Reynolds of Georgetown; and daughter-in-law, Elaine Reynolds of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren with a great-grandson due in January; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Collins of Milton and Loreta Workman of Georgetown; also her caregiver and friend, Sarah.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 At Calvary Baptist Church, 22860 Dupont. Blvd., Georgetown, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
