MILFORD - Bertha O. Bynes- Avinel transitioned to her new life with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 at Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. Bertha was the daughter of the late Willie and Girlena Bynes; and only sibling to the late Willie Bynes Jr. "Sonny Boy". Cherishing her memory is her only child, First Lady Girlena Parker and son-in-law, Pastor Edward C. Parker; her five grandchildren, Edward Parker (Shana), Latisha Horsey (Anthony), Darnell Parker (Penny), Carlton Parker (Amy) and Violetta Scott (Kevin); her 16 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. Services are on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Nehemiah 6:3 Faith Builders Ministry, 20516 Jefferson Road, Lincoln, DE with visitation two hours prior to the service. Services entrusted to McPhersonFuneral Service, Inc. Milford.
