Bertha Augusta (McDaniel) Sweetman, 83

GEORGETOWN -- Bertha Augusta (McDaniel) Sweetman, 83, of Georgetown, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Elsie (Keil) McDaniel; and also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Anderson; and her first husband, Art Ayers. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles "Bob" R. Sweetman; a daughter, Clarene Hoyt; sons, Charles Ayers and Robert Ayers; stepson, Robert C. Fordham; stepdaughter, Diana Sweetman; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Eastern Star Services followed by Christian funeral services will be at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, at 2 p.m. today. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Arkansas.
