Carter-Lewis DOVER - Belinda Faye Carter-Lewis passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Bayhealth in Dover surrounded by her family and friends after a lifelong illness of Sickle Cell Anemia. She was born Nov. 9, 1958 in Dover, Del., the youngest daughter of the late Isaac Carter, Sr. and Mary Neta Carter. Faye as she was affectionately called by her family and friends was educated in the Capital School District. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with The Voices of Calvary and the Calvary Baptist Combined Choir until her health declined. In addition to her father, Isaac Carter, Sr. she was preceded in death by her daughter, Danielle Ann Lewis; and her nephew, Raheem Carter. Belinda Faye leaves many wonderful memories to her mother, Mary Carter; her three daughters, Melinda Lewis, Mary Lewis, and Hattie Tee Lewis; and her son, Othar Lewis, Jr., all of Dover; her ex-husband, Othar Lewis, Sr. of Maryland; four sisters, Barbara Horton, Diane Wilson and her husband Walter, Jackie Watkins and Debora Wilson; three brothers, Isaac Carter, Jr., Gary Carter and his wife Suzette, and Michael Carter; nine grandchildren; two aunts; a very special friend, Al Vandaveer of Dover; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. with viewing two hours prior at Calvary Baptist Church, Rt. 8, Dover. Interment will be Sharon Hill Memorial Gardens.
