Beatrice Moore, 93

LAUREL - Beatrice Moore, of Laurel, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 93.

She was born in Wilmington, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Toulson Hepborn.

Mrs. Moore retired as a sales clerk from Hess Apparel in Salisbury, Md.

She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Seaford, where she was involved in many church circles.

Mrs. Moore was a former member of the Republican Women's Club and an avid bridge player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Moore Sr.; and a sister, Elizabeth Winters.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her sons, William B. Moore Jr. and his wife Colleen of Laurel and Richard B. Moore and his wife Barbara of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandchildren, Suzanne Fiorito and her husband Michael of New Orleans, and Joseph Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; one great-grandson, Kristofer Moore of Jacksonville; and two dear friends, Gail James and Peggy Mills.

A memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel, where the Rev. Romey Payne will officiate.

Instead of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Delaware Association for the Blind, 800 West St., Wilmington, DE 19801; or to Generations Home Care Inc., 205 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947.

Arrangements are by the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel.
