STILL POND, Md. - Barbara Sue George of Still Pond died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in her home. She was 47.
Barbara was born June 2, 1959, in Chestertown, daughter of the late William Urie and Melba Louise (Holden) George.
She was a lifetime resident of Kent County, where she was raised in the Langford-Broad Neck area.
She was a 1977 graduate of Kent County High School.
Barbara was a secretary working for oil company's including Kent Oil, D&R. Supply, Alger, and most recently for Southern States Petroleum.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Carl George.
Barbara is survived by her companion of 28 years, Forrest Walbert.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md., where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Worton, Md.
Memorials may be offered to Chester River Home Care and Hospice, 6602 Church Hill Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
