Barbara Olsen Terrell, 75

LONG NECK - Barbara Olsen Terrell, Marine wife and mother, of Long Neck, formerly of Glen Burnie, Md., passed away Monday, Jan. 21 2008, at her home with her family at her bedside. She was 75.

Barbara was born on Sept. 29, 1932, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late William and Margaret Olsen.

She was a full-time employee with Liz Claiborne Outlet Store, and was a career Marine wife for 27 years. She was devoted to her family and dedicated to her 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Barbara attended Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Millsboro.

She is survived by her husband, Capt. Tom Terrell, Ret.USMC; eight children, Wanda of Wilmington, N.C. Lois of Millsboro, Thomas Jr. of Grand Rapids, Mich., Michael of Shamokin, Pa., Patricia of Glen Burnie, Md., Mary of Henderson, Nev., Regina of Mohnton, Pa., and Jean of Glen Burnie, Md.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck Road, Millsboro.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Del. 24 and Mt. Joy Road, Oak Orchard.

Also, friends are welcome to join the family at Kalas Funeral Home, Oxon Hill, Md. from 3-5 p.m. Feb. 3.

Interment will be from 1 p.m. Feb. 4 in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Friends and family attending the interment service should report to the Administration Building at Arlington at 12:30 p.m.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice 31038 Country Garden Blvd., Dagsboro, DE 19939.
