Barbara Jean Johnson, 65
HARRINGTON - Barbara Jean Johnson, of Harrington, died Friday, June 27, 2008, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 65.
Barbara was born in Oil City, Pa., on Jan. 7, 1943, the daughter of the late Edmund F. and Sarah Baker Carter.
She was a convenience store manager. A lot of times she would be hired to get a poorly run store straightened out.
She was a good and hard worker in anything she would do.
Barbara loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also liked to go camping, especially at Trails End Campground in Horntown, Va.
She was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge 534.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Wesley W. Johnson; four children David R. Gricks of Copperas Cove, Texas, Kerri E. Forshee of Shakopee, Minn., Tammy L. Beaulieu of Harrington, and Daniel A. Gricks of Pleasantville, Pa.; one granddaughter, Shayla Beaulieu; one brother, Edmund F. Carter Jr. of Franklin, Pa.; two sisters, Trudy L. Carter of Seneca, Pa., and Darla Denney of Franklin, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Monday at the Harrington Moose Lodge.
Donations may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
