Barbara Cooper, 74
FELTON - Barbara Cooper, of Felton, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2008, at her home. She was 74.
She was born in Seaford on April 27, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Alice and Fitchie Mason.
Mrs. Cooper married Clifford Cooper on July 4, 1953, in Easton, Md.
She worked at the Hollywood Diner in Dover as a short order cook for over 30 years.
She enjoyed writing poetry and had several published.
Mrs. Cooper spent countless hours crocheting afghans and reading Danielle Steele books.
She and her husband built their lives around harness racing.
Her pride and joy was spending time with her husband, boys and grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Cooper Sr.; five sons, Bobby Cooper and his wife Donna of Milford, Kim Cooper and his wife Debbie of Houston, "Spanky" Clifford Cooper Jr. of Felton, Jay Cooper of Harrington, and Shawn Cooper and his wife Rebecca of Mountain Top, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, Nicole Cooper-Fisher, Holly Conley, Scott Cooper, Amber Cooper, Justin Cooper, Joshua Cooper, Jacob Cooper, J.D. Cooper, Ashley Cooper, Mary Cooper and Dylan Cooper; and one great-grandchild, Matthew Conley.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call after noon.
