Barbara A. Sullivan, 62

DOVER - Barbara A. Sullivan of Dover died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in Dover. She was 62.

Ms. Sullivan was born July 14, 1943, beloved daughter of the late Joe Kane and Carrie Bell Sullivan. She spent most of her life in Dover.

She enjoyed cooking, giving love to everyone and playing pinochle with her buddies and friends. Barbara was a warm-hearted, loving woman.

Ms. Sullivan volunteered endless hours with assistance to the Delmarva Rural Ministry, and she served on the tenant council at the Mifflin Meadows Apartments Civic Association.

She was preceded in death by a son, Willie G. Sullivan; and a loving companion, Caryle Wilkerson.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Carrie and Sonny Stuart and Shelly and Derek Blue; a son, Frank Sullivan; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Lewis Charlie and Sandra Jackson and Michael and Dora Jackson; four grandchildren, Jerome Griffith, Anthony Blue, Abbie E. Sullivan and Andrew J. Sullivan; a great-grandchild and her mother, Natori Blue Wright and Tyiwonda Wright; four close friends, Della Harrison, Vivian Harmon, Evelyn Wright and Karen Wilkerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in New Hope Pentecostal Church, Sharon Hill Road, Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Gardens, Dover.

Arrangements are by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
