MILLSBORO - Barbara A. Pruitt, of Millsboro, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Delaware Hospice Center. She was born in Wilmington, Del., daughter of the late George Raymond Ford and Elsie Mae Godwin Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy S. "Pete" Pruitt; a brother, George Raymond Ford, Jr.; and a daughter, Sandra Lee Lewis. She was a homemaker and graduated from the P.S. DuPont High School in 1946. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Pruitt-Jones and Stephanie Pruitt Aydelotte and her husband Richard W.; a sister, Helen Lambert; five grandchildren, Mark C. Lewis, Steven P. Lewis, Jennifer Pruitt Worrell, Jackie Courtney and Chelsea Ford Aydelotte; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Services and burial will be private. Intement will be at Cape Henlopen Cemetery, Milton, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Milton, DE.
