Avery Edward Willey

LINCOLN - Avery Edward Willey, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born January 22, 1934, in Greenwood to the late Fred G. and Mary Jones Willey. Avery served his country in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated A & M Appliances in Port Charlotte, Fla. Avery was a member of the Milford Senior Center, where he also enjoyed shooting pool. He loved to sing and play guitar, read his Bible, and tinker on cars. He is survived by his long time companion, Wilmoth Wilson of Lincoln; a daughter, Josephine MacLaine of Lincoln; two sisters, Mary Betty Ashley of Newark and Violet Tisha of Ellendale; a brother, Richard Willey of Milford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
