DOVER - Audrey L. Bell, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 79.

Audrey was born April 13, 1929, in Marcus Hook, Pa., daughter of the late Foster and Pearl (Everett) Hickey.

She married the love of her life Edgar Raymond Bell on June 23, 1947, who preceded her in death on June 7, 1990, after 43 years of marriage.

She retired after 30 years of dedicated service with the Caesar Rodney High School cafeteria where she worked as a baker. After retiring she enjoyed her life as a homemaker and loved to spend time with family and friends. She was a member of Whatcoat United Methodist Church in Camden.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Merritt Hickey; and three sisters Myrtle Hickey, Elizabeth Hickey Frazier and Jeannette Frazier.

She is survived by her loving daughter Shelia A. "Shellie" Schack and her husband Matthew James "Jim," of Felton; a sister Anna Mae Kemp of Greensboro, Md.; a dear friend, Helen Schack; one nephew, Wayne Frazier of Maryland; two nieces, Sharon Holden and Diane Clark both of Maryland; many grand nieces and nephews and their extended families; and her special loving companion and friend of 14 years Lucy her Shih Tzu.

Services will be 1 p.m., Sunday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, and letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
