Audrey Jane Smarr, 87

MILFORD - Audrey Jane Smarr, age 87, of Milford, formerly of Cambridge, Md., passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Milford Center. Audrey was born in Milford, daughter of the late Charles A. and Elsie Mae (Dutton) Ingram. Audrey was a retired office manager in the electronics industry. She had attended Calvary U.M. Church and was a former member of Grace U.M. Church in Cambridge. In addition to her parents, her husband, William L. Smarr Jr.; a sister, Lavina Mae Bradley; brother, W. Wood Ingram; and stepbrother, Charles E. Ingram, preceded her in death. Audrey is survived by a son, William L. Smarr, III and friend Rhonda Franz, of Milford; two granddaughters, Mary Beth D'Amico of Salisbury, and Lauron Smarr of Cambridge; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce E. Lynch of Milford, and Ruth Ann Mills of Smyrna. A funeral service was Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. Burial will be in Slaughter Neck Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Calvary U.M. Church, 301 SE Front Street, Milford, DE 19963.
