Audra Jane Gorman Wallace

SMYRNA - Audra Jane Gorman Wallace, of Smyrna, passed away on Sept. 22, 2010 at Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. She was 43. She was born in Elkton, Md., and graduated from Middletown High School in 1985. She later graduated from Del Tech as a registered nurse, and was employed for many years as a nurse at the Delaware Correctional Center, Smyrna. She loved her cats, going to the beach, and her VW Beetle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Wallace Sr., in 2009. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Wallace Jr., of Smyrna; her parents, George and Betty Gorman, of Townsend; a brother, George W. Gorman II and wife Vicky, of Clayton; maternal grandmother, Virginia Reed, of North East, Md.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 28, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Robert J. Wallace to help defray his college expenses: C/O Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
