GEORGETOWN - Ashley Nicole Thompson of Georgetown died as a result of injuries she sustained when hit by an automobile while walking with her cousin on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, in Frederica. She was 19.
She was born in Milford, daughter of Steven Ray Allison and Mary Jane (Thompson) Campbell.
Ashley was a very outgoing young woman who loved to make people laugh, and would always offer a shoulder to lean on for anyone who needed one. She loved to talk on the telephone and listen to music or just chill with her family and friends. One of her biggest joys was babysitting for her baby brother and her cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Theodore E. Thompson; and an aunt, Julia A. Turner.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Jane Campbell; two brothers, Payton Campbell and Michael Gibbs Jr.; an aunt, Wanda Thompson; two uncles, Harry Thompson and Theodore F. Thompson; her maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Thompson; and numerous cousins.
Services will be noon Thursday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery, Dagsboro.
