MILTON - Ardessa L. Drew of Milton, formerly of Bear passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home. Ardessa was born in Frankford, the daughter of the late Wallace and Viola (Bratten) Broughton.
She was a homemaker. Ardessa had been a faithful servant of Jehovah and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1969. In addition to her faith, family was very important to Ardessa, who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Fred L. Drew, Sr.; a daughter, Lennia Drew Dennis; four brothers, Willie, Stanford, Pervis and Sylvester; and two sisters, Dorothy and Virginia.
She is survived by her ten children, Bruce Drew, Tammy Drew-Gordon, Wanda Drew, Darrell Drew, Fred Drew, Jr., Teresa Drew, Michael Drew, Stuart Drew, Rachael Drew-Kinuthia and Rebecca Drew; one brother, Alfonso Scott; and one sister, Bertha Bratten; 31 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ardessa's Life Celebration at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3011 N. Heald Street, Wilmington where a viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
