LINCOLN - Annie B. King, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully at Beebe Medical Center on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Mrs. King was born in Rising Sun, Del. to the late Clarence and Jennie (Ivory) Barrett. She and her late husband, Alton O. King, owned several King's Markets in Delaware and Maryland, the last being in Lincoln, Del. She was a former member of the Milford Church of God in Milford, Delaware for many years. She spent many years traveling and singing with her family. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, movies, and spending time with family. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Alton C. King; granddaughter, Whitney King and daughter-in-law, Cheryl King. She is survived by her children, Linda Ashley of Lincoln, John E. King of Denton, Md., Dwight W. and Jo Ann King of Salisbury, Md., Barrett E. King of Lincoln, Michael G. and Rene King of Salisbury, Md., Beverly and Keene Wong of Salisbury, Md., Brenda L. and Clark Whittington of Whiteville, N.C.; and daughter-in-law, Debbie King of Seaford; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at 12 noon in the sanctuary of Milford Church of God, 500 N. Walnut St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, DE. Flowers are accepted or donations can be made in Annie's memory to Milford Church of God. Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
