CATONSVILLE, Md. - Anne T. Landry of Catonsville died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in Charlestown Retirement Community. She was 86.
Mrs. Landry was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Chestertown, daughter of the late Frank and Nannie Judefind Turner.
She was a 1937 graduate of Chestertown High School. She was also known as Margaret Anne Turner during her years in school. She received her bachelor's degree from Washington College in 1941.
During her career she worked in human services in Mental Health in Connecticut and Texas.
Mrs. Landry moved back to Chestertown in 1966 where she finished raising her family.
She worked with Juvenile Services for the state of Maryland for many years in Chestertown and retired in 1984. In 1996 she moved to Charlestown Retirement Community.
Mrs. Landry enjoyed traveling, gardening, needlepoint, cooking and was an avid reader.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Turner of Baltimore, Phyllis Landry of Hagerstown and Susan Landry of Houston, Texas; a son, Joe Emmord of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Jean Eyler of Tolchester; and three grandchildren, Rodney Brown of Chestertown, Ryan Schulz and Jessey Schulz, both of Hagerstown.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
