GREENSBORO - Annabelle B. Wothers, 99, formerly of Greensboro, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. She was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Big Run, Pa., the daughter of Ralph and Anna (Yohe) Brooks. Mrs. Wothers worked in the Greensboro shirt factory and also worked with her husband on the farm. She enjoyed raising flowers and playing the piano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Downes Wothers in 1979; two brothers, Blake Brooks and Merle Brooks; one sister, Alice Walls; and one grandson, Ryan Beatty. She is survived by her sons, Floyd Donald Wothers (Betty) of Crumpton, Md., William Blake Wothers (Jean) of Felton, Ralph Odell Wothers (Emily) of Greensboro, Francis Elmer Wothers (Janet) of Greensboro; and her daughter, Janice Audrey and husband Karl Clere of Felton; ten grandchildren, Donald Wothers, Debbie Beatty, Karen Williams, Randy Wothers, Jeff Wothers, Julie Strange, Danny Melvin, Pam Cook, Kristi Smith, and Angi Paul, many great and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.
