Anna Willis Moore, 89

FAIRLEE, Md. - Anna Willis Moore, of Fairlee, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in her daughter's home in Mills River, N.C. She was 89. Mrs. Moore was born May 5, 1919, in Chestertown, daughter of the late Willard and Mabel Willis. She was a lifetime resident of the Chestertown area with Adventist Church memberships in Chestertown and Brevard, N.C. She devoted her life to the care, love and support of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Claude W. Moore Sr. on April 11, 2007. She is survived by her four children, C. Wesley Moore Jr. and his wife Mary Adda, and Michael A. Moore and his wife Janice all of Chestertown, John Willis Moore and his wife Kathleen of Centreville, and Phyllis M. Roberts and her husband Edwin of Mills River, N.C.; a brother, William Willis of California; and sister, Evelyn Wood of North East; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, in St. Paul's Cemetery, 7600 Sandy Bottom Road, Chestertown. Memorials may be offered to the Chestertown Seventh Day Adventist Church 305 North Kent St., Chestertown, MD 21620. Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena.
