Anna Mae Truitt

Georgetown - Anna Mae Truitt passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at her home. She was born in Seaford, the daughter of the late Carl and Helen Bryan. She enjoyed cooking and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Georgetown Community Bible Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Olen Neal; son, Olen Neal, Jr.; and daughter, Jean Brewer. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, George. L. Truitt; children, Wayne Neal and wife Linda of Millsboro, Carol Heck and Bruce Stasi of Crisfield, MD, Jim Neal and wife Carolyn of Crisfield, MD, R. Wayne Truitt and wife Betty of Seaford and Virginia Chmielewski and husband Glendon of Harrington; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great- great grandchildren, and her dedicated caregivers, Angie Ward, Debbie Walton, Kim Bernard, Debbie Bailey. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, where friends may call after 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or Georgetown Community Bible Church, 402 Elizabeth Street, Georgetown, DE 19947 or Odd Fellows Cemetery, Maintenance Dept. P.O. Box 72, Seaford, DE 19973.
