Anna Mae Buchert

SEAFORD - Anna Mae Buchert passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boyertown, PA on May 2, 1933, daughter of the late Harold and Martha (Long) Zern. Anna Mae, along with her late husband Lawrence H. Buchert, was the owner of the former Seaford Furniture Outlet, 3rd and Front Sts., Seaford, DE. She was an avid bingo enthusiast and loved to play pinochle at every opportunity. More than anything, Anna Mae was huge fan of John Wayne. She will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, brothers, and all who knew her. She is survived by her five children, Lawrence B., and his wife Doris C. Buchert of Seaford, David O. and his wife Jill Buchert of Ocean City, MD, Martha Swavely of Pottstown, PA, Eleanor, and her husband, Charles (Bobby) Cordrey of Millsboro, and Anna Mae Weidnier of Boyertown, PA; her sister, Betty Jean; and her two brothers, Harold and Lester; her 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 at 12:00PM at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, where friends may call from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Burial will follow the service at Odd Fellow's Cemetery in Seaford. In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that donations be made to the Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 100 Commerce Dr., Newark, DE 19713. All arrangements are being handled by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, Seaford, DE.
