FELTON - Anna M. Smith passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018.
Ann was born in Milford to the late James A. and Anna (Tarris) Boone. She previously worked for L.D. Caulk and more recently worked as an early childhood educator for Head Start.
Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends, particularly the Giggle Girls. She enjoyed her work with children, sewing and decorating her home for the seasons and holidays. She could often be found spending time in her yard landscaping and tending to her fish pond. Ann touched so many lives with her warm, caring and creative nature and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Michele Thornley and husband Ron (Buzzy), Jeff 'J.C.' Dodd and wife Tammy, James Dodd and fiancé Heather Wisk and Jason Topolski; siblings, Leona Melvin, Jim Boone and Darlene Dill; five grandchildren, Tyler Welch, Kylie Dodd, Cody Dodd, Brooklynn Dodd and Megan Stevenson; and two great-grandchildren, Ella Welch and Layla Dodd.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Felton United Methodist Church, 101 E. Main St., Felton, DE 19943.
