Anna Everett

FELTON - Anna Everett, of Felton, formerly of Woodside, died Sunday Sept. 13, 2015 at Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover. Mrs. Everett was born Jan. 23, 1934 in Dover, Del. to the late Samuel and Gertrude Glanden Merchant. She worked for the Milford Stitching Company, and Harrington Shirt Factory as a seamstress. She also helped her late husband run Everett's Mobile Home Maintenance, Arby's Restaurant in Woodside, and as a baby sitter for her grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Oscar Everett, Jr. in 2012, son Robert Everett, and brothers Lewis and Nelson Merchant. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cooper and her husband Mark of Felton; brother Richard Merchant and wife Beverly of Harrington; grandchildren, Rob Cooper and his wife Alexis of Valdosta, Ga., Wendy Sparks and her husband Greg of Felton and great grandchildren, Sabrina and Addison Sparks, Alexa, Aiden, and Ashton Cooper. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Courtland Manor for the loving care they showed to Mrs. Everett and the entire family during her illness.
