Ann Marie Burke, 85
DOVER - Ann Marie Burke passed away at home on November 18, 2023. Born in Coaldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna M. (Pavlick) and Anthony J. McHale.
Mrs. Burke was a homemaker. She was active at the church located on the Dover Air Force Base. Ann was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling and doing ceramics. She also loved crabbing on the boat with her late husband Lawrence. Mrs. Burke made many of her own garments and could have been a professional seamstress. Most importantly, Mrs. Burke was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Joseph Burke, who passed away in 2014; and by her son, Frank Burke, who passed away in 2011.
She is survived by three children, Michael Burke of Felton, JoAnn McGregor and her husband Michael of Dover, and James Burke and his wife Melanie of Camden-Wyoming; her siblings, Kathy Haddick of Essington, PA, Gloria Devaco of Essington, PA, Anthony McHale of Florida and Vincent McHale of Norwood, PA; 11 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and her Maltese, Frankie.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will be later at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
