Ellendale - Ann Elizabeth Beebe Robbins passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford on Thursday, Mar. 2, 2017.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1926 in Milford, to the late Charles and Mildred Capehart.
She lovingly raised her family in Greenwood, DE, surrounded by her loving neighbors, before moving to Ellendale. Early in life she worked various jobs in factories such as Morcal Products (the spoon mill) and Milford Stitching and Draperies Etc…,both of Milford. Also, her love of small children led her to a part time job at a daycare center. She loved going to yard sales, Black Friday shopping with her friend Matt Shaw, going to Lancaster where she loved playing miniature golf, playing bingo, and just being with her loved ones and friends, especially during the holidays.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers; and sisters; her first husband, John David Beebe Jr., in 1973; as well as step-son, Don Beebe, formerly of Scottsdale, Ariz.
This beautiful and loving soul, leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Paul Robbins, of Ellendale, whom she shared many wonderful memories with; her loving step-son, Jim and Carolyn Beebe, of Mountain City, Tenn.; daughter, Ann Spence and Frank, of Frederica; and son, Lester Beebe and Joyce, of Lincoln. She was a wonderful grandmother, to Dan Beebe, of Mountain City, Tenn., Brian Spence, of Lindenwold, N.J., Paul Spence, of Frederica, and David Beebe, of Denver, Colo.; as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Jack and Lilly, who called her GG; many friends passed on before her, but she also leaves behind her beloved friend and sister-in-law, Betty Neibert and Alvin, of Ellendale.
The family would also like to thank her wonderful and loving nurse, Glenda Robinson, of Millsboro, who took such special care of our wonderful angel, as well as the other nurses sent to her home by Delaware Hospice.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2017, at 12 noon in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Reverend Diane Melson of Ellendale UMC will officiate the service.
Burial will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park, in Milton.
