Ann Charlotte Hoover, 81

DOVER - Ann Charlotte Hoover, of Dover, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 81. She was born on Dec. 8, 1927, in Frackville, Pa., to the late Raymond and Emma Mucklow Burchill. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Dover and served on the Alter Guild. She was secretary of the NCO Wives Club at Goosebay, Labrador. She was the youngest and last survivor of nine children and she was a graduate of Frackville High School, Pa. She worked at Benjamin's in the Blue Hen Mall for many years. In her youth she was well know for her singing and dancing abilities. She enjoyed her family, reading, crocheting, traveling and attending concerts performed by The Gaithers. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James M. Hoover of Dover; son and his wife, James C. and Kathleen Hoover of Dover; daughter and her husband, Peggy A. and Allan Angel of Dover; daughter, Victoria B. Hoover and her partner Rena Duckett of Dover; granddaughter and her husband, Christina and Brian Murphy of Frankford; granddaughter and her husband, Kelly and Sam Johnson of Dover; granddaughter, Jennifer Angel of Dover; grandson, James H. Hoover and his friend Lisa Moore of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and nephew and his wife, Ronald B. and Christine Liem of Frackville, Pa. Remembrance services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover. Friends may also call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Trader Funeral Home. The family request that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society 92 Read's Way Suite 205 New Castle, DE 19720 and/or American Heart Association 1151 Walker Road Suite 202 Dover, DE 19904 Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
