She started working for ABC Cleaners in Dover as a check in clerk before they became Capital Cleaners retiring in 1999 after 33 years. She loved camping in Pennsylvania and Wildwood, N.J., her dogs - Dakota and Ace and everyone she met.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis "Sonny" Carney, Sr.; brothers, Leon Jr. and Ralph; and sister, Delores Harmon.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Carney of Dover; daughter, Debbie Stafford (Chris) of Smyrna; grandson, Justin Stafford; brother, Wilson Harmon of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Beverly Jackson of Oak Orchard; sister-in-laws, Marion Harmon, Betty and Ann Seeney and Gloria Attix; and many nieces and nephews.
