Andrew Landona Jr. MAGNOLIA - Andrew Landona Jr., of Magnolia, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Aug. 17, 1929, in Derby, Conn., son of the late Andrew P. and Florence (Minerly) Landona. Andrew had served his country proudly in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He had worked as a foreman and manager for the Dye Casting in Derby. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, John Landona, Doris Sdehlak, Teresa Sdehlak, Mildred DeFrancisco, Ethel Martin, and George Landona; and a great-grandson. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jo-Ann (Martin) Landona; three daughters, Susan A. Summerfield and her husband David of Magnolia, Sheryl Villacis of Connecticut and Jody Landona of Connecticut; a son, Andrew Landona III and his wife Nancy of Connecticut; two brothers, Phillip Landona of Connecticut and Buddy Landona of Florida; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, Conn. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter's Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. The family wishes to thank the staff of Delaware Hospice for the excellent care and support they provided; special thanks to Robin, Russ, Kathy, Raymond, and Shelia.
