Amy Elizabeth Spindler, 95

DOVER -- Amy Elizabeth Spindler of Dover passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Kent General Hospital. She was 95. She was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Chesterhill, Ohio, daughter of the late Willard and Lucy (Woodyard) Parker. Amy was co-owner of a hardware store with her late husband in Plymouth, Ind., for 20 years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph B. Spindler, in 1995; a son, Parker "Jerry" Spindler, in 1999; two brothers, Philip Parker and Donald G. Parker; and a granddaughter, Amy Marie Spindler, in 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Carole J. Jones and her companion Bob Shulties of Dover; daughter-in-law, Sally J. Spindler of Seminole, Fla.; three granddaughters, Bonnie Kay Spindler of San Francisco, Christiana Tosatto and her husband Robert of Brookeville, Md., and Elizabeth Kilmartin and her husband Jay of Irmo, S.C.; and six great-grandchildren, Ermias, Gillian, Rosa and Sebastian Tosatto and Ian and Rhys Kilmartin. Services will be 5 p.m. Tuesday at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be Friday at Anona Methodist Church Cemetery, Largo, Fla. Letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
