Alvin W. Cade, 92

MILFORD - Alvin W. Cade of Milford, formerly of Medford, Ore., passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, in Milford Genesis Center. He was 92.

He was born in Santa Barbara, Calif. and spent his life working up and down the California and Oregon coast operating heavy equipment.

Mr. Cade was a member of Hope Christian Church in Medford and then belonged to Milford Church of Christ after he and his wife, Sylvia, moved to Delaware in April 2003.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Ione Cade in November 2003; his brother, Ivan; and his sister, Beryl; a son-in-law, Lewis Schiller; and a great-grandson, Donald Lewis Schiller.

He is survived by a brother and a sister-in-law, Everett and Sara Cade of Medford; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marjorie J. and Joseph Cotta of Houston and Beverly L. Schiller of Depoe Bay, Ore.; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Randy and Cheryl Ward of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bryan and Karen Ward of Milford, Carolyn and Jeffrey Miller of Strasburg, Pa., C. James Ward of Canyon Country, Calif., Raymond Schiller of Yuma, Ariz., Melissa and Ronald Goeddertz of Buna, Texas and Cheri Schiller of Depoe Bay; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were Wednesday in Hope Christian Church, Central Point, Ore.

Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Milford Church of Christ.
