Alma Bouw Shelton

DOVER - Alma Bouw Shelton, 82, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at Westminister Nursing Center in Dover. She was born on February 21, 1931 in Dover, to the late Ole Christian Bouw Nielsen and Marie Kathryn Jensen Nielsen. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and The Singing Players were she was the Executive Board member. She worked at ILC in it's space program and later at Playtex. She attened Henderson grammar school and was a graduate of Greensboro High School class of 1948. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Janet Lee Moore of Rehobeth, and Janice Lynn Saelens of Arlington Heights, Ill.; and brother, Christian Nielsen. She is survived by sons, Paul T. Shelton, III of Columbus, Ohio and his wife Linda and Kevin W. Shelton of Harleysville, Pa.; daughter and husband, JoAnn and John Hollingworth of Milton; sisters, Clara Warner of Jacksonville, N.C., Doris and Paul Sipple of Smyrna, Ruth and Stuart Scott of Berlin, Md., Vickie and Richard Stoops of Dover; grandchildren, Laura Cooper, Christian, Clara, and Rebecca Hollingsworth; and one great grandchild, Cage Cooper. Remembrance Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan., 21, 2014 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 South State Street in Dover. Friends may call one hour before at the church. Burial will be at the Templeville Cemetry Templeville, Md. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Wesley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or UMW Organization, 209 South State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
